So, I Read the Traveler
Wait, it’s not Monday? No, it’s not. And you will have a regular post on Monday. This is a special post I’ve put together to help support one of my CPs and fellow authors, E.B. Dawson. At the end of the brief review, I’ll leave a note with more details about an amazing opportunity for you and ALL readers of Indie fiction.
I was one of the beta readers for The Traveler, and E.B. Dawson was so kind to send me the final version in paperback. It was such an exciting moment holding it in my hands. E.B. Dawson and I, as well as our fellow CP (and the third member of our little writer’s guild) S.M. Holland, all grew up on the same Pacific Island, and memories of that beautiful world were woven into the fantasy aspect of The Traveler with great skill. This Sci-Fi/Fantasy hybrid is a unique and charming book. There is action and adventure, enough to make most readers more than happy, but also advanced technology, complicated politics, wondrous new places to explore and characters that are endearing and compelling.
The book starts out with a slowly building sense of wonder as the main character leads us to explore the cold, industrial world in which she lives and the bright, inviting world she is able to “travel” to. I truly loved this book and I would fully recommend it to any reader, but especially to those who love the thrill of discovery and the promise of second chances.
So what is the real reason I’m writing this post? Books on sale! As a final note. Malfunction, though not included in this sale, is free on ebook until Cyber Monday. So if you haven’t picked up a copy yet, put it on the list.
I hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving, for those who celebrate it. I’m off to finish cleaning and to put up the tree! The Christmas season is beginning!
